Diabetes 10 Point Training for Mental Health Workers
The Diabetes 10 Point Training for Mental Health Workers is being implemented in Mental Health Trusts across North West London and I am in the process of supporting St Andrews Hospital, a major 800 bed Northampton Mental Health Provider, to deliver Diabetes 10 point Training for their mental health workers in February 2019.
The Diabetes 10 Point Training for Community Nurses
The Diabetes 10 Point Training for Community Nurses was delivered to community nursing teams in Camden in 2014 and to community nurse teams in Purbeck in Dorset in 2016-2017 with good results. It is now being delivered to community nurse teams across North West London.
In partnership with Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust in London (CLCH), we have developed bespoke Diabetes 10 Point Training cards for multiple CLCH community nursing teams working across London.
Diabetes 10 Point Training for Nursing and Care Homes
In 2016 – 2017 with Community Matron Hazel Dent, I co-delivered a well received basic diabetes training programme to all Care and Nursing Home in Purbeck in Dorset.
The Diabetes 10 Point Training for Nursing and Care Home staff is now being delivered in multiple care and nursing homes across 8 Clinical Commissioning Groups in North West London.
Diabetes 10 Point Training for Homeless Workers
In collaboration with Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) Homeless Nurse Practitioner team I developed training for the unique challenges and needs experienced by homeless workers dealing with clients who have diabetes. Training is currently being delivered in a variety of hostel and day centre settings across North West London.
Diabetes 10 Point Training for Haemodialysis Centres
In collaboration with Hammersmith Hospital Lead Renal Diabetes Specialist Nurse Jo Reed, bespoke training has been developed for this specialist and complex group. Training has been delivered to staff in one haemodialysis centre with positive results with the plan to deliver training to all haemodialysis centres across North West London.
